Each academic year,  the college receives renowned composers, performers, and ensembles to present, perform, and hold masterclasses, informal discussions and workshops. These events may engage in short-term residencies that culminate in performances, exhibitions and new works. In recent years, Supernumerary Fellow, Dr. Patricia Thompson has effectively involved both students and faculty members.
