Each academic year, the college receives distinguished guests, fellows and freshmen to a magnificent Commencement High Table ‘Gaudie’ (a term derived from Latin: gaudium, to signify enjoyment or merry-making), that is redolent of celebratory student life in ancient universities Oxford and Cambridge, St Andrews and Aberdeen, as well as the Universities of Durham and Reading.

Members of College and guests don academic robes, and undergrads choose Sub Fusc or evening dress. College Hall creates a most charming setting and atmosphere – one that is conducive to concentration, and ideal for an exchange of views and insights as well as suave musical performances, including much enjoyment and merry-making.

High Table celebrates fraternal associations drawing together a wealth of experience, storied histories, musical journeys and breadth of internationalism represented in College Membership, undergraduate, postgraduate and exchange, Resident and College Fellows.
