Fitness Centre: Rules & Regulations

Fitness Centre: Rules & RegulationsManuel Antonio Noronha2023-07-27T15:10:52+08:00

The Fitness Centre is a great place to work out and feel good. However, there are gym rules and regulations that should be followed. INDIVIDUALS NOT ADHERING TO THESE RULES & REGULATIONS WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE or/and the college reserves the right to report gym users who do not adhere to the rules and regulations to College Master for further disciplinary action.

General Policies

  • All users MUST REGISTER and PRESENT student cards / resident cards at the College Lobby during opening hours. Use of identity card by anyone else will result in immediate dismissal, and possible ban from further use.
  • The college strives to uphold a safe, clean and enjoyable environment. As such, we expect proper, respectful conduct at all times.
  • We do not permit disrespectful conduct towards members, guests, fellows or affiliates, including but not limited to vulgar, profane, indecent, offensive, violent, hostile, aggressive, threatening, harassing, stalking, fraudulent, or other inappropriate conduct or language.
  • No gum/food/or beverages – except water
  • Do not bring anything valuable (the college is not responsible for any lost or stolen items).
  • Please be considerate of other users, and refrain from talking loudly or other noisy activities that may annoy or distract other users
  • Be sure to always integrate warm-ups, stretching, and cooling- down into your program. This reduces risk of injury by increasing blood flow, and preparing for the workout.

Dress Code: Proper workout attire MUST BE Worn. Users who fail to follow will not be permitted to workout.

Men: shorts, t-shirts, sweatpants, sweatshirts
Women: Leggings or shorts, a t-shirt, and trainers are perfect!
Footwear: Trainers (any brand)

NO dress shoes, sandals, boots, SLIPPERS, open-toed shoes, OR BARE FEET permitted.

Correct Use of Gym Equipment

Use the equipment properly: If you are not sure ask a member of staff or trainer. Please handle all equipment with proper care. Users will bear full responsibility for any damages to the facility or equipment.
Once you’ve finished exercising, put the weights back exactly where you found them by re-racking them. By leaving them on the floor, you’re risking injury on a fellow gym-goer with a safety hazard from laziness.
  • Don’t Drop the Dumbbells and Weights:

It damages the weights, the floor and can cause injuries to yourself or other users. If you cannot put it down properly, it is too heavy for you.

Personal Hygiene:

  • It is strongly recommended you bring a personal workout towel and mats.
  • Bring your own water bottles if needed.
  • Please wipe down the equipment when you have finished exercising.
