Universidade Eduardo Mondlane (UEM) is located in Maputo, and has a student population of approximately 40,000. It is the oldest and largest university in Mozambique where teaching covers a comprehensive range of disciplines organised into 11 faculties and six schools. The main campus is on Julius Nyerere Avenue in the capital, Maputo, where the veterinary and medical schools and the department of architecture and planning are located.
On Friday, 12th December, 2025, MCM College (MCMC) and Universidade Eduardo Mondlane (UEM) held a Virtual Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Signing Ceremony via TEAMS Meeting platform. The significant event aimed to strengthen mutual institutional cooperation, as well as exploring and discussing possible avenues for future collaboration in various academic and showcasing collegiate life through experiential learning activities.
The ceremony was attended College Master, Prof. Kwok-cheung CHEUNG and his MCMC delegation, along with officials from Universidade Eduardo Mondlane, Dr. Manuel Luís Chenene (in absentia) along with his delegation of Dr. Nelsa Matusse Lado and Miss. Etlevina Mostinha Razão. The event began with a brief meet and greet session, followed by the official MOU signing ceremony – highlighting the start of a five-year partnership. Sarima Nguira (FLL), Pircilla Aiuba (FST) and Gabriela Rorato (PG/RT) were invited to meet and greet the UEM delegation. They shared their personal experiences, as well as highlighting academic and collegiate growth and development.
